I’m a young healthy 23 year old girl and I work full time in a retail store. This year our company has changed their health insurance and now you can build your own plan. They offer a deductible of either 0 0 0 or 00. Your choice of 80% or 90% coinsurance after deductible has been met is offered. The out of pocket maximums to choose from are 00 00 or 00. The co-pay choices are / doctor/specialist or /40 doctor/specialist. I’m not sure how much coverage to purchase because although I’m healthy anything can happen and if something does happen I don’t have a whole lot of extra cash to kick out for deductibles. I have a significant other that I live with and he makes pretty good money and can help me with any medical costs necessary. I also have to consider how much I can afford out of my weekly pay for health insurance. I know that deciding the quantity of health insurance to purchase is a gamble but I’m just looking for someone to shed some light on this.
